
The forces of globalization combined with the factors of economic growth have resulted in a new international business order thereby opening myriad vistas for the growth of management professionals across the nation, said Shri Surya Narayan Patro, Minister, Revenue & Disaster Mitigation. Addressing the delegates and students at the 4th National Markfest, the simulated business event organized by ace B-school ASBM, Shri Patro said that the upcoming era of rapid industrialization calls for augmented innovation by management students for stimulating turn-around solutions in the context of global business. Speaking on the occasion the SBU Head of ‘Core Logic’ Shri P.V.Raghu highlighted on the significance of such marketing festivals for catering to the holistic growth prospects concerning millions of management students across the sub continent. Noted entrepreneur and Director-Marketing of TK International, Shri Harihar Patro emphasized on promoting entrepreneurial spirit among management students for accelerating business innovations. The Founder & Group Director of ASBM, Prof. Biswajeet Pattanayak stressed on the incessant thrust of this pioneering B-School in giving exposure to future managers on real life business environment. Innovative business solutions projects concerning 33 B-Schools across the country covering states like Gujarat, Rajasthan, Karnataka, West Bengal,Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand and Assam and 21 institutions from the state were screened for the final round staging 18 teams in competitions pertaining to product,pricing,advertisement distribution and publicity. The valedictory ceremony was addressed by Shri Tathagat Satpathy, Editor -Dharitri, Director of Essar Steel and Shri H.S.Sethi. Trophy along with cash prize amounting Rs. One Lac was given to the winning and runner-up team and winners in all individual categories. Cash prize of Rs.30, 000 was awarded to the champion team Alliance University, Bangalore, and Rs 20,000 was awarded to the runner-up team Tezpur University of Assam. Cash prizes of Rs.10, 000 were given to the winners of individual categories. The event was attended by Dean of the institute Prof.Kalyan Shankar Ray, Convener of National Markfest Prof. B.N.Swar, members of the faculty and staff, delegates from B-Schools and students. Colorful cultural extravaganza ‘Vibranz’ marked the closing of this two day long national business festival.
