Ace B-School ASBM signed a MoU with leading investment consulting & publication organization Dalal Street Investment Journal owned by Ramdeo Media Group. The memorandum was signed between Mr. Deepak Jhangiani, Director, Marketing of DSIJ and Prof. Biswajeet Pattanayak, Founder Director of ASBM. This MoU marks the launching of much awaited Post Graduate Programme in Investment Management. The Programme will be introduced at ASBM, Hyderabad campus from this academic year. Addressing the ceremony Mr. Jhangiani highlighted on the manifold growth of the investment community in India which has expanded to the tune of 3.2 million over a remarkably short span of time. It is predicted that by the end of this decade we will witness the initiation of around 1000 mutual fund companies across the sub-continent. Managing such a huge portfolio of equity investment will be a mammoth task that will require inclusion of huge trained manpower. So a carefully designed tailor-made Programme for investment sector will bridge the gap in employment requirement pertinent to the need of the industry. Speaking on this occasion noted management author and Consulting Editor of Business India, Mr. A. Thothathri Raman emphasized on the out of box thinking in spearheading industry linked sectoral management education. Elaborating on strategy for enhancing leverage type of buy-outs Mr. Raman said, today the opportunity has evolved to accept competitors as collaborators. Investment initiatives have opened up tremendous market avenues for Indian management professionals to keep marching ahead and excel in global capital markets, he asserted. Harping upon such a uniquely thought after course, Founder Director of ASBM, Prof. Biswajeet Pattanayak  said looking at the phenomenal multiplication of investment markets worldwide this well developed & specialized  course will give both ASBM & DSIJ an added advantage for being the innovators. Hintingupon the large scale success in the   earlier introduced  super specialized Programme like logistics and supply chain management ,   Prof. Pattanayak said the PG Programme in investment management will grossly appeal to the career aspirants of the present scenario who are looking towards off-beat and challenging growth options. The ceremony was attended by Dean of ASBM, Prof. Kalyan Shankar Ray; Chairman-PGP, Prof. Udayan Das, Prof. Ashish Mohanty, faculty members and students.
