Asian School of Business Management has retained its position among the top-notch management institutions among the country by being adjudged as the Best B-School in India for the coveted Deccan Herald Best B-Schools Awards-2008. The acclaimed B-Schools across the country receiving this prestigious award include MDI-Gurgaon, IIM-Ahmedabad, IIM-Bangalore, IIFT-New Delhi, Amity Business School, IIM-Calcutta, XLRI- Jamshedpur BharathiDasan Institute of Management-Trichi, ICFAI-Bangalore, Goa Institute of Management & Indira Group Institutions, Pune. Being a young and dynamic institute ASBM has bagged this prestigious award along with premier institutions like IIM-Calcutta & XLRI. The awards were presented in a glittering ceremony convened at Le- Meridian, Bangalore by Shri K.Gopalakrishnan, the MD & CEO of Infosys & Shri K.N. Tilak Kumar, the Editor of Deccan Herald in the presence of industry leaders , CEOs, management experts and media icons. In a delightful co-incidence, the Founder Director of ASBM, Lagaan Professor Biswajeet Pattanayak who had earlier been adjudged among Top100 Educators of the world also got awarded in the topmost bracket of management teachers in India along with Prof. C.S.Venkat Rathnam of IMI, Prof.B.S.Sahay of IMT-Ghaziabad, Prof. S.Basudev Rao-TFI Institute of Mangement, Manipal, Prof. B.Sekhar—IIM Bangalore, Prof. A.H. Babu-ITM, Bangalore, Prof. Ramesh Bhatt of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management, Mumbai; Prof.S.R.Shauq from XISS-Ranchi,Prof Uday Salunkhe from Wellingkar Institute of Management Development & Research, Mumbai and Prof.Arindam Choudhury of IIPM. This makes ASBM the only institution in the list where the B-School and the Director both have been awarded simultaneously.
