ASBM University Hosts Kalinga International Model United Nations to Nurture Youth Leadership

ASBM University proudly hosted the Kalinga International Model United Nations (KIMUN) on July 5 and 6, 2025, serving as the official venue partner for the prestigious event. The two-day conference brought together passionate student delegates from across India, showcasing exceptional skills in diplomacy, public speaking, and critical thinking.
In his inaugural address, Prof. Biswajeet Pattanayak, President and Founder of ASBM University, emphasised the vital role of youth in global leadership and policy-making. He urged participants to embody the core values of the United Nations—dialogue, cooperation, and critical inquiry.
KIMUN featured four high-impact committees—United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC), International Press (IP), and All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM). These committees simulated real-world diplomatic and political scenarios, enabling delegates to engage in intense negotiations, draft impactful resolutions, and represent their assigned nations or roles with intellectual rigour and integrity.
Prof. Pattanayak personally visited all committees, interacted with the delegates, and applauded their commitment and enthusiasm. The closing Felicitation Ceremony was graced by Prof. Ranjan Kumar Bal, Vice Chancellor of ASBM University, along with other dignitaries. Outstanding delegates were recognised for their exemplary performances and presented with awards across various categories.
The event highlighted ASBM University’s commitment to fostering leadership, global awareness, and policy-oriented education among the youth.
